I liked the extras and that alternate ending option. This was directed by a French horror director, so I thought the film style was somewhat different than the other chainsaw films I guess that can be good or bad depending on what type of Texas chainsaw film you want. This is fun stuff with plenty of violence and splatter. Its got some really cool chainsaw splatter towards the end when he saws up a guy real good, and you can also choose to watch the film with an alternate and nastier ending that I certainly thought was better. It moves quickly, is easy to follow, and has a nice body count. This all allows for a variety of deaths throughout the film and even some bits of necrophilia.
Then towards the end the chainsaw comes back. Then they're on the run, so it's now a horror/action flick with assorted bloody bullet hits and a psychotic cop who shoots one in the head in cold blood. The setting moves to an asylum where you get this bunch of lunatics that result in a violent breakout. After that, the picture is basically a combination of asylum type horror and a sort of rip-off of THE DEVIL'S REJECTS for awhile. The saw appears around the start of the film.
